Smart Phone For Dumb Users

Technology is an amazing paradox. It is used to simplify peoples' lives and help in the evolutionary curve of mankind but somehow, it makes the users dumber and dumber with its every "simplistic" invention. Thanks to word documents and auto corrects, we have almost forgotten spellings and wonder if professor is supposed to be with "ff" or "ss" or both.
The list could go on endlessly, but the post is not about that, it's about an ad on air that has beautifully art-directed this phenomena for a mobile phone.
Samsung Galaxy Y Duos Lite is a phone for the almost retarded and the "blonds of the world". The ad features 2 guys in Gangtok who find a wallet and while one wants to "party" with the new-found money, the other prefers returning the wallet saying it must be somebody's.
One line from the former friends says that there's no name or address but that doesn't bother his friends who removes his smart phone to find the address from a photo from the wallet!!!!
While the functioning of the app is superbly demonstrated  it shows how dumb people have become. One, for actually scripting this ad, and the other, to see this and think of it as an ad that could do well.
What bothers me is not the phone or its features, but the fact that it seems so much like a "client-script" if I may call it so.

Here are the flaws:
1) It's surprising that the wallet that was found has no identity card of any type that could lead them to the address of the owner. (hard to believe considering its a wallet with a big stash of money).
2) The dude with the smart phone to think that the photo that's in the wallet is where the owner of the wallet lives!!!! I have a photo of my wife taken in Paris. Let me see that dude catching a flight to go to Paris and to her "friend's house" to return my wallet just to find her not living there and also, even if they do find her, to know that it's not hers either. In this case, my wife knowing that I have lost my wallet, may just take it on my behalf, but what if I have a girlfriend's photo opposite her house and her parents do not approve of me!!! I know, it would be a perfect set up for a humorous script.

Again, I conclude that though the app on the phone seems amazing, it surely makes the user look dumb.
Such is the advent of technology!!!
