Elections Musing

Coming from an advertising background, I find the elections pretty weird. Even from a marketing perspective actually it seems strange.
So often, we are briefed on jobs for targeted communication. Hyper local activities as they call them. And then there are brand campaigns.
I am surprised that the elections confer up with brand campaigns but have no hyper local communication...
Should I vote for someone who has done great work in Gujarat or Delhi or nowhere or do I vote for someone who has done since good work outside my house.
But strangely, I never see those who contest near my house anytime but during elections. And that too, because the party they represent requires them to.
Why can't we as people push to see those contesting in our areas more often. Make a list of what they would do and evaluate them on that?
More than BJP, Congress or AAP campaigns, wish I could see more localized ads apart from those dirty banners.
Even if not adds, at least see them more often, interact with them more often. This way, I can view for someone who did make a difference and slowly this way, even the Nation could change.
