The changing times

Hi Myra,

So officially, your name will change from Vijayalakshmi to Myra. And no, I have no problem. As your mom said, my amma will be with me forever.
Since I wrote last, so much has changed. You are taller, heavier and far cuter than before.
And you are teaching us something everyday. Only one thing is more accentuated is your uncanny answers at the right time. You still love songs and us singing to you to put you to sleep.
And now, you dont go to sleep, we almost always PUT you to sleep. You demand it. Singing lullabies, rocking you.
You still can't take being swayed around - your eyes yet get fixated to one spot in order to avoid being disoriented.
You are learning to turn on your tummy slowly. You almost turn till your stomach but can't yet move the far hand out.
You are peeing more, and less. Your kaka frequency is less and more or less timed. You love to have a support for your legs and hands while you sleep.
You throw a lot more tantrums now - you cry for attention.
If ma is on phone and not looking at you, you cry. If ma and I talk and don't look at you, you cry. If I watch TV while you are on my lap, you cry. Which is super sweet. In fact, we have figured out your cry for attention and your genuine cry
You started making new noises. Can't describe it but noises that could scare off ghosts at night ;)
And you grow adorable by the day.
What we are trying is to make you sit on our laps with help of our support. And you seem to enjoy it. Maybe it's because you see the world straight ;)
And your laugh - it's the sweetest thing ever. You make noises while you laugh now. A extremely sweet, inimitable laughter. Sometimes you laugh easy (just me making faces or some noise) or sometimes when we kiss you on the stomach.

These are just the beginning. Changes are good. Changes that mark your everyday growth.

We love you more everyday.

Happy growing Myra,

Love,
Ma and Babai
